The View Returns for Season 30: Six Co-Hosts Back, Guest List Packed from Jessica Lange to Colin Kaepernick
The View returns for its 30th season on Tuesday, September 8, with all six co-hosts from last season back at the table. Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro resume their seats when the show airs at 11 a.m. ET on ABC (Deadline).
A landmark season for a programme that Barbara Walters created in 1997, Season 30 arrives with a guest roster spanning Hollywood, music, politics and journalism. Jessica Lange, Andrew Garfield, Sarah Paulson, Billie Lourd and Maisie Williams are booked for appearances, alongside Ke Huy Quan, Ethan Hawke, Kate McKinnon, Lizzo and Kenny Chesney (Deadline).
The political and current-affairs lineup is equally broad. Senator Ted Cruz, Governor Andy Beshear, Colin Kaepernick, Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich, astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson and ABC News correspondent Deborah Roberts are all scheduled. So is Heidi Skolnik, a sports nutritionist whose work has spanned professional teams and Olympic athletes (Deadline).
A cast reunion of sorts is built into the schedule. The team behind the upcoming TV adaptation of East of Eden — Florence Pugh, Christopher Abbott, Mike Faist and executive producer Zoe Kazan — will appear together. Former co-host Sherri Shepherd is also set to return to the show for Season 30 (Deadline).
Behind the scenes, Brian Teta serves as executive producer and Sarah de la O directs. Two companion programmes are returning as well: The View: Behind the Table podcast and The Weekend View, a Friday-and-Monday edition with Robin Hommel as executive broadcast producer (Deadline).
ABC confirmed the Season 30 premiere on its official listings page, which describes the September 8 episode as "The hosts return for a new season" with a TV-14 rating (ABC). Full episodes are available to stream on Hulu after broadcast, and ABC directs viewers to TheView.tv for guest announcements, featured products and audience tickets (ABC).
The network's official X account, @TheView, echoed the premiere date and noted Barbara Walters's founding role in launching the programme in 1997 (@TheView on X).
For a show that has reshuffled its panel repeatedly across three decades, Season 30 carries a particular weight: every co-host from the previous round is returning. That stability is unusual for a programme built on the friction of differing viewpoints, and it gives the new season a running start rather than a reset.
