Jeff Tweedy Shares Cover of Twisted Teens' 'Wild Connection'
Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy has shared a cover of "Wild Connection" by New Orleans band Twisted Teens.
The recording went up on 11 September on his Substack newsletter. Substack is a platform that lets writers send posts direct to readers by email. Tweedy's page there is called "Starship Casual".
The post that carries the cover is titled "Messi, Me and a Wild Connection", according to the newsletter page. Stereogum identifies Tweedy as the frontman of Wilco. Dork identifies Twisted Teens as a band from New Orleans.
The original song comes from Twisted Teens' album Blame the Clown. That album came out in February. The song sits second in the running order.
Blame the Clown was released on 13 February 2026. Its version of "Wild Connection" carries the line "We've got a wild connection." That detail comes from Pitchfork's February review of the album.
