All That She Wants brings age-gap romance to Toronto
Annie Murphy has brought an age-gap love story to the Toronto International Film Festival. All That She Wants appears in Special Presentations, the festival's showcase for high-profile titles, and The Hollywood Reporter published its review on 14 September 2026. Murphy leads as Emma, a professional dancer in her 30s.
Emma is at a turning point. She is training for a new career through a master's programme in speech therapy, work that supports people with communication difficulties, and she decides to have a baby on her own, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Plans shift when she meets Luke. Cooper Raiff plays Luke, a 23-year-old graduate student who becomes Emma's love interest.
Home life adds pressure. Zosia Mamet plays Macy, Emma's younger married sister, while Christine Baranski plays Linda, Emma's mother. The wider cast includes John Gemberling, Finn Wittrock and Bill Irwin.
The film runs 1 hour 44 minutes, a standard feature length for a festival slot and later cinema programming. It was directed by Scarlett Bermingham and Andrew Rhymer, from a screenplay by David West Read.
