The Fray announce eight-date Australia and New Zealand tour for February 2027

The Fray will tour Australia and New Zealand in February 2027 on the Summer of Light Tour, an eight-date run that ends with their first show in New Zealand. Billboard confirmed the schedule, which runs from Feb. 5 to Feb. 17.

The trek is split in two. Four dates are indoor headline shows. Four are outdoor dates staged as part of the Lookout Festival series.

The indoor run is presented by TEG Live. It opens at Margaret Court Arena in Melbourne on Feb. 5. It then moves to Waves in Wollongong on Feb. 10 and Hordern Pavilion in Sydney on Feb. 11. It closes at Eventfinda Stadium in Auckland on Feb. 17.

The Lookout Festival dates are presented by Face to Face Touring. The band will play Torquay Common in Torquay on Feb. 6 and Kings Park & Botanic Garden in Perth on Feb. 7. The second weekend brings Speers Point Park in Lake Macquarie on Feb. 13 and Sandstone Point Hotel in Sandstone Point on Feb. 14.

Support varies by format. Dashboard Confessional and Rachael Fahim will open the four indoor headline shows. The Lookout dates add a wider bill, with Bastille alongside Dashboard Confessional, Killing Heidi and Little Birdy.

Dashboard Confessional, led by Chris Carrabba, will appear on every date except Wollongong, according to Noise11. That means fans at the three other headline shows and all four Lookout dates will see the US band on the bill.

The tour supports A Light That Waits, described as The Fray's first full-length album in more than a decade. The Auckland finale carries its own milestone. It will be the group's first-ever performance in New Zealand.

For fans, this means two different ways to see the band. The headline shows are standalone sets with two support acts. The Lookout shows are day-long festival line-ups shared with four other acts.

Tickets for the Australia and New Zealand dates go on general sale Sept. 17 at 10 a.m. local time.
