Empire of the Sun announce six-date Australia and New Zealand tour for 2027
Empire of the Sun will tour Australia and New Zealand for six shows in February and March 2027.
The run is billed as the act's largest tour in the region to date, Billboard reported on 17 September 2026. It will carry the title Ask That God: Afterlife Tour and is organised by Frontier Touring, the concert promoter handling the dates and ticketing.
The tour is presented as the final live instalment of the Ask That God experience. That is the stage universe built around the group's 2024 album of the same name.
The routing opens in New Zealand before moving across Australia. It starts on 19 February 2027 at Spark Arena in Auckland.
From there it plays Riverstage in Brisbane on 21 February, Afterpay Arena in Sydney on 25 February and Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne on 27 February. It then closes with Adelaide Entertainment Centre on 2 March and RAC Arena in Perth on 6 March.
Tickets go on sale on 18 September, according to a Frontier Touring post. Frontier Touring lists general admission standing tickets at $149.90 on its tour page. Official VIP packages are also offered for the 2027 dates.
The new dates follow an Ask That God Australian Tour in 2024. That run included an Oct. 24, 2024 show at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney and an Oct. 26, 2024 show at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne.
For fans, this means a return to some familiar rooms at a larger scale. Melbourne is back at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl. Sydney moves to arena size. Auckland, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth complete the six-city loop.
