Charli XCX apologises over six-date 2027 UK and Europe tour
Charli XCX has apologised to fans frustrated by the short length of her next UK and European tour, saying touring is emotionally and physically hard for her.
The singer addressed the reaction in an Instagram reply after confirming a six-show run for the UK and European leg of her Music, Fashion, Film tour in February 2027. She said she was sorry to supporters who felt disappointed about her not playing more dates.
“I respect artists who can handle intense, lengthy and high-octane touring but I’m not one of those people,” she wrote, according to Billboard. She added that she had chosen a shorter run on her current North American tour for the same reasons.
The 2027 dates cover Dublin, Glasgow, Manchester, London, Amsterdam and Paris. The leg is due to open on Feb. 13, 2027 in Dublin and close on Feb. 24, 2027 in Paris, according to earlier tour announcements reported by Billboard.
The tour supports Music, Fashion, Film, her seventh studio album. The record was released on July 24 as the follow-up to her 2024 album Brat.
The new album debuted at No. 1 on the Official U.K. Albums Chart, the weekly ranking of the country’s most-consumed albums. It was her fourth British chart-topper, and made her the first British female artist to land two new No. 1 albums in the same calendar year.
In the United States, Music, Fashion, Film opened at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, the weekly US albums ranking. It also gave her a first No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart, which measures traditional purchases including CDs, vinyl and downloads rather than streaming.
Her North American leg started on Sept. 11 in Philadelphia. The 12-date arena run includes New York, Toronto, Boston, Atlanta and Los Angeles before it ends in Las Vegas on Oct. 23. Electronic artist Underscores is listed as support for those shows.
Charli said she would try her best to stay in a healthy and positive mindset for the performances. In a separate message, she said she had to honour her truth as an artist when setting the scale of her touring.
For fans, this means no extra cities for now. Her official website has opened sign-up for exclusive pre-sale ticket access for the UK and European dates, with details listed on a dedicated tour page.
