Charli xcx says she performs to please herself as arena tour rolls on

Charli xcx says she is performing to please herself on her current tour. “I’m not really performing to please anyone other than myself,” she said in an interview published on 2 October, as the North America leg of her Music, Fashion, Film tour wraps this month Billboard.
The run closes in North America in October and heads to Europe in February. The show is organised around two records, with the setlist leaning heavily on Brat and Music, her latest album.
She first played the full production while headlining Chicago’s Lollapalooza for the first time. That slot doubled as the launch for the new staging.
It follows a sharp change in scale. Brat, her Grammy-winning album, took her to arena headliner for the first time. She described a long climb to that point, saying she “really climbed my way up from nothing” and recalled early gigs played with an iPod on a makeshift stage.
Music, Fashion, Film arrived in July with a rock-infused sound. It debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, the US albums chart, with 75,000 first-week units, the figure that rolls sales and streams into one total Billboard. That matched the peak she set in 2024.
Three collaborators shaped the live show. Charli xcx built the production with creative director Imogene Strauss across numerous tours, with Mitchell Snyder on musical direction and Eric Christensen on choreography.
On the road, the tour has included a New York-area show and dates listed for 24 September at TD Garden in Boston and 28 September at Capital One Arena in Washington, DC, plus a 2 October appearance at Austin City Limits in Austin, Texas. The official store brands the run as “MUSIC, FASHION, FILM 2026 TOUR” on merchandise, including a black tour tee with screen-printed graphics on the front and back and an 18" x 24" folded tour poster listed as expected to ship in October 2026.
She has also responded to fan frustration over the limited number of dates on the UK and European leg Billboard.
For fans, this means a louder, tighter show. Two albums dominate. The rest is intent.
