FX's Adults is drawing a much larger audience in its second season.

Disney says viewing for Season 2 is up 40% on Season 1 across Hulu and Disney+ globally, measured after 12 days of viewing, Variety reported on 14 September.

The jump is even sharper outside the United States. International viewing for Season 2 has doubled, up 100% on Season 1, according to Disney.

The company did not release hard viewer numbers. No total hours watched. No total viewers. Only the percentage growth, which means the size of the audience in absolute terms has not been made public.

There is also a knock-on effect for the first season. Streaming viewing for Season 1 is up 50% since the release of the prequel episode, Marathon Day, on 31 July. That episode arrived ahead of the new run and appears to have pulled new and returning viewers back to the start.

Critical response has shifted too. The show's Rotten Tomatoes score, which aggregates reviews from approved critics, stood at 77% after Season 1. It now sits at 100%.

For fans, this means momentum. A 40% lift holds weight. A doubling abroad holds more. And a first season growing at the same time suggests people are not just sampling the new episodes, but catching up from the beginning.
