FX comedy Adults has grown its audience by more than 40% from Season 1 to Season 2.

That figure covers the first 12 days of release, across Hulu in the United States and Disney+ internationally, based on Disney internal streaming data reported by Deadline. The jump is global.

In the US, Season 2 viewing is up by more than 30% on Season 1. Internationally, it has doubled, up 100% season-over-season. FX reported both figures through the same Disney data.

Both seasons were released as binge drops, meaning all episodes arrived at once for streaming. Season 2 was released on 27 August by FX and Hulu, as listed by Yahoo. Outside the US, it streams on Disney+, including in Australia where Disney+ confirmed its arrival on social media.

The new run also got a direct lead-in. Ahead of Season 2, FX released a standalone prequel episode titled Marathon Day on 31 July. Since that episode debuted, viewing for Season 1 is up 50%, according to the figures reported by FX.

Season 2 currently holds a 100% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes, compared with 77% for Season 1.

What makes this stand out is the pattern. The prequel lifted the old season, and the old season fed the new one. For viewers catching up now, both seasons are available to stream in full.
