Amber Davies will star as Elle Woods when Legally Blonde The Musical transfers to the West End next spring.

The production will play a limited season at the London Coliseum from 22 March to 22 May 2027. Previews run from 22 to 29 March, WhatsOnStage reported on 15 September 2026.

A transfer, meaning the production moves from its original run into a commercial West End house, follows a sold-out UK and Ireland tour. The London season is produced by ROYO and Curve. Davies will reprise the role she played on tour.

At certain performances, Elle Woods will be played by an alternate performer. That casting is still to be announced.

The Coliseum run includes three accessible performances. There will be an audio-described show on 20 April, a captioned show on 5 May and a signed show on 11 May.

Davies knows the Coliseum stage well. She originated the role of Jordan Baker in the 2025 London production of The Great Gatsby there. She won the WhatsOnStage Award for Best Supporting Performer in a Musical for that performance.

Her other credits include Pretty Woman, 9 to 5 The Musical and Strictly Come Dancing. She will lead the UK and Ireland tour of Legally Blonde as Elle before the London dates.

The musical features music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin, with a book by Heather Hach. It is based on Amanda Brown’s novel Legally Blonde and the 2001 film starring Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Coolidge.

The production is directed by Curve artistic director Nikolai Foster. It is choreographed by Leah Hill, with musical supervision and additional arrangements by Matt Spencer-Smith.

The wider creative team includes set designer Colin Richmond, costume designer Tom Rogers, and wigs, hair and make-up designer Sam Cox. Lighting is by Ben Cracknell, sound by Adam Fisher, casting by Harry Blumenau with additional casting by Jim Carnahan.

For fans, this means a short window to catch the touring staging in London. Eight weeks. One big house. Pink at the Coliseum.
