Kenny Chesney Announces 2027 Stadium Tour After Sphere Residency

Kenny Chesney is returning to stadiums in 2027.

The country singer will launch his Original Vibe Room Tour 2027 next spring after a two-year residency at Sphere in Las Vegas, Billboard reported on Sept. 15. A residency means playing a run of shows in one building rather than travelling. A stadium tour is the reverse, moving a large production from city to city to play to crowds of tens of thousands.

The new run opens on April 24 in Tampa, Florida, at Raymond James Stadium. The show will be his eighth appearance at that venue.

From there, the schedule takes in Chicago, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Detroit and Nashville. Those cities cover the Midwest, the Southeast and the Northeast in a single summer sweep. The tour then concludes on Aug. 28 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

The closing date will be his 25th show at Gillette Stadium. That count reflects repeated returns to the same building over many years, with each date needing enough ticket demand to fill the stands again.

Eric Church, Sheryl Crow and Greylan James will join the tour as guests. Stadium tours often rotate support acts between stops, so different cities can get different opening line-ups.

Before the road comes new music. Chesney will release Silver Sands Marina on Sept. 25, ahead of the 2027 dates, as detailed by Billboard. It is his 21st album and an 11-song collection. It is also his first release on Hey Now Records, his own independent label, which means it is being issued outside the three major record companies, Universal, Sony and Warner.

For fans, this means the calendar is set in two parts. New songs arrive in the autumn, when listeners can hear them first at home. The live versions follow the next spring and summer, when outdoor stadiums are in full use across the United States.

What makes this stand out is the continuity. Chesney travelled from winter residencies back to summer stadiums without a long break from the stage. Tampa rewards that loyalty with an eighth visit. Foxborough closes it with a 25th.

Ticket details and city-by-city support are expected to follow through official tour channels. The dates give fans almost a full year to plan.
