Method Man to Guest Star as Rapper Yungwood in CBS Drama Cupertino
Cliff "Method Man" Smith will guest star on the CBS drama "Cupertino" as rapper Yungwood, Variety reported on 15 September 2026.
A guest star, meaning an actor brought in for one episode or a short run rather than as a full-time cast member, Smith steps into a music-industry dispute. His character takes legal action after an AI music studio cuts into his streaming revenue.
Yungwood will cross paths with lawyer Michael Price, played by Mike Colter. Price fronts the Thursday-night CBS series as a defence attorney navigating cases in the California tech hub that gives the show its name.
He will also meet Price's unlikely partner, played by Rachel Keller as a recently fired attorney. The pair form the centre of the legal team at the heart of the series.

"Cupertino" comes from producers Robert and Michelle King. The couple are known for creating legal and political dramas built around lawyers, investigations and power struggles.
What makes this stand out is the switch for Smith. He is best recognised for playing a lawyer himself, attorney David MacLean opposite Mary J. Blige across all four seasons of Starz's "Power Book II: Ghost." He won four consecutive NAACP Image Awards for that role.
