JoJo sets November tour for 20th anniversary of The High Road
JoJo will celebrate 20 years of her album The High Road with a short US tour this November.
The run is formally billed as The High Road Tour: 20 Years Unplugged. It begins in Boston on Nov. 13 and wraps in Chicago on Nov. 24, Billboard reported.
The opening show is on Nov. 13 at Royale in Boston. The closing show is on Nov. 24 at Park West in Chicago, according to Yahoo. The travelling dates in between include Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, New York City, Nashville and Atlanta, BroadwayWorld reported.
The High Road was released in 2006. It was JoJo's second album, following her self-titled debut studio album from 2004.
That debut was certified Platinum, a sales award. The High Road was certified Gold. It reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200, the US albums chart, and debuted with 108,000 in its first week, according to Billboard's chart reporting.
The album's lead single was "Too Little Too Late." It became JoJo's first top-five hit on the Billboard Hot 100, the US singles chart. The album also produced the singles "How to Touch a Girl" and "Anything."
JoJo later released completely re-recorded versions of her first two albums, including 2004's JoJo. That history matters because early masters can change hands in the record business.
For fans, this means a compact November run built around one album. Six cities are confirmed outside the Boston and Chicago bookends, with venues still to be detailed for most stops.
