Netflix Sets Dec. 3 Premiere for Six-Part Pride and Prejudice

Netflix has set Dec. 3 as the premiere date for its six-part Pride and Prejudice, starring Emma Corrin as Elizabeth Bennet and Jack Lowden as Mr. Darcy, The Hollywood Reporter reported.

The show will run as a limited series, meaning the story is told in one closed season with no second season planned. Netflix has confirmed six episodes. Dolly Alderton is the writer, according to the same report.

Euros Lyn directs the series, Netflix Tudum has confirmed. Lyn’s credits include work across British prestige drama and science fiction. Alderton is best known as an author and screenwriter.

The Bennet household is fully cast. Olivia Colman plays Mrs. Bennet and Rufus Sewell plays Mr. Bennet. Freya Mavor plays Jane Bennet, the eldest Bennet sister and Elizabeth’s closest confidante.

Hopey Parish plays Mary Bennet and Hollie Avery plays Kitty Bennet. Rhea Norwood, known to many viewers as a fan favourite from Heartstopper, plays Lydia Bennet, the youngest sister.

Around them, Daryl McCormack plays Mr. Bingley and Siena Kelly plays Caroline Bingley. Louis Partridge plays Mr. Wickham. Jamie Demetriou plays Mr. Collins and Fiona Shaw plays Lady Catherine de Bourgh.

Six episodes. One ending. That structure gives the production room for the full courtship tangle without stretching it across multiple years.

Netflix has released a teaser for the series and published first in-character photos of Corrin and Lowden as Elizabeth and Darcy, Netflix Tudum shows. The title is listed as TV-PG, meaning parental guidance is suggested for younger viewers. The project was described as a limited series adaptation by Deadline.
