Snap will formally launch its Specs augmented-reality glasses in Los Angeles on September 16, priced at $2,195. CEO Evan Spiegel is expected to start his keynote at 4PM PT that day, in an event staged as the official debut of the device Engadget.

The price is fixed. Spiegel has described Specs as a "wearable computer," separate from competitors' AI glasses. Snap has previously described the system as an ultra-powerful wearable computer built into a lightweight pair of glasses.
