Juanpa Zurita has signed with WME for representation, meaning the agency will find work and negotiate deals on his behalf. Variety reported the signing on 16 September 2026. The deal covers acting, producing and original IP, meaning new characters and stories he creates and owns. He was previously represented by CAA.

WME will work alongside his longtime management team at DW Entertainment & Media. The stated aim is to expand his global career. The split is standard in Hollywood. Management steers day-to-day choices while the agency handles bookings and contracts.

Zurita is a Mexican actor, producer and content creator. He first rose to fame on Vine with comedic videos. Vine was a short-video app that launched a generation of online stars. He carried that early audience with him as platforms changed.

He now reaches more than 90 million followers across platforms. That total includes more than 32 million followers on Instagram, 15 million on TikTok and 11.3 million on YouTube, according to Variety. That is a large built-in audience. It means a new project can arrive with attention already attached.

On television, he created, showran, executive-produced and starred in La Peor Vuelta al Mundo for Hulu and Disney+. To showrun means to lead a series creatively, from writers’ room to final cut. He also co-founded the production house Arco Entertainment. His producing credits include Carpe DM, a Roku Original.

He is in development with Netflix on a new feature film. He is also developing a programme slate for Disney+ in Latin America, meaning a group of shows in early planning. Development means projects are being written and assembled. No titles, casting details or release dates have been disclosed.

What makes this stand out is the range. The agreement spans performing, making and owning work. It is not tied to one role or one series.

For viewers, an agency signing rarely shows up on screen straight away. It shapes who pitches what to studios and streamers behind the scenes. The test will be what gets announced next.
