Bran Flakezz Takes $25,000 as One of Four Unwell Summer Games Winners
Brandon Edelman, better known online as Bran Flakezz, walked off a Canadian ranch with $25,000 and a competition win. He was named as one of four winners of the Unwell Summer Games after taking the final challenge, according to Variety.
The Unwell Summer Games is a four-episode series on YouTube, created through Alex Cooper's Unwell network. The format, meaning the basic idea and structure behind a show, brought 16 content creators together at a luxury ranch in Canada. They lived and competed together across four days for a share of $250,000 paid out through the competition.
The hook is simple. Sixteen creators, one ranch, four days. Money went out at different stages, so players could pick up cash along the way before the final. Edelman closed it with $25,000 in the last contest.
He shares the winners' list with Jourdan Riane, Blake Gray and Carly Sutherland Lawrence. All four came through the same four days of games. All four left as winners.
He did not start on TV. Edelman has built an audience of more than 1 million followers on TikTok, where he posts as Bran Flakezz, according to Variety. That following helped earn him a place on Forbes' 30 Under 30 list in Social Media.
Before that, his day job was far from a film set. He worked in a fitting room at Forever 21. He later tested himself on Barstool's Project Verified, a contest to find new online personalities.
Off platform, he is part of a Gen Z voter registration initiative linked to Michelle Obama. The project aims to organise young voters and get them signed up. It is a different lane from ranch games and short comedy clips, but Edelman works in both.
