Gunna reveals next album Splurge, holds back release date
Gunna says his next album will be called Splurge.
The rapper shared the title during an interview with Forbes’ The Enterprise Zone, but gave no release date. He said the project is still being worked on, according to Billboard.
He left the door open for a fast arrival. Gunna said the album could come out next month if he feels ready. That would mean October 2026. He did not commit to it.
He also addressed his label situation. Gunna said he is not a free agent. He did not confirm whether he remains with YSL Records or has signed elsewhere.
The update follows his 2025 album The Last Wun. That record debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 with 80,000 total album-equivalent units earned, the industry measure that rolls sales and streams into one album figure. Billboard counted it as his seventh top 10 project on that chart.
Gunna has kept a low solo profile in 2026. He has not released a solo single this year. His recent appearances have come as a guest, including on Shaboozey’s “High Noon” and Rich The Kid’s “Too Bad” in summer 2026.
The Last Wun had its own drawn-out rollout. Gunna announced that title and explained its meaning during an interview with will.i.am, as reported by iHeart in August 2025.
For listeners, this means a name but no timetable yet. There is no tracklist, no cover and no finalised date. Until Gunna says the album is ready, Splurge is a title to watch rather than a date to mark.
