Gunna has earned his 100th career entry on the Hot 100, the United States singles chart that combines streams, sales and radio play.

“Pop It” debuts at No. 55 on the chart dated Oct. 24. That makes Gunna the 25th artist in the chart’s 68-year history to reach 100 entries, Billboard reported.

The numbers behind the debut are split almost evenly between radio and streaming. “Pop It” drew 4.7 million radio airplay audience impressions, the measure of how many people heard it on air, and 4.6 million U.S. streams in the Oct. 9-15 tracking week, according to Luminate, the data firm that feeds the charts.

Radio picked the song up fast. It opened at No. 16 on Rap Airplay, No. 26 on R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay and No. 29 on Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, three Billboard charts that track plays across different radio formats.

“Pop It” was released on Oct. 9 via Atlantic Records, alongside a video featuring tennis star Coco Gauff. It is the first single from Splurge, Gunna’s upcoming seventh studio album. The release followed the launch of his SB The Label imprint.

His chart run started eight years ago. Gunna first appeared on the Hot 100 on June 2, 2018, as a featured act on Lil Baby’s “Life Goes On,” also featuring Lil Uzi Vert. It debuted at No. 80 and peaked at No. 74.

His first entry in a lead role came later that year. “Drip Too Hard” with Lil Baby climbed to No. 4. It was the first of his four top 10 hits.

The others are “Lemonade” with Internet Money, which reached No. 6 in 2020, “Pushin P” with Future and Young Thug, which reached No. 7 in 2022, and “Fukumean,” which reached No. 4 in 2023.

For fans, this means volume as well as peaks. Drake leads all acts with 407 Hot 100 entries, followed by Taylor Swift with 281 and Future with 246. Gunna is the fourth artist to pass 100 entries this year, after J. Cole, Ariana Grande and Rod Wave.
