Big Brother 28 Double Eviction Sends Barrett and Yash to Jury, Final Five Set
Seven houseguests started Thursday night. Five finished it.
Big Brother Season 28 cut Barrett Pfeiffer and Yash Patel in a Week 10 double eviction — two full cycles of nominations, power contests and votes inside one live show — to reach the final five on 17 September, as reported by Deadline.
For anyone new to the format, the setup is simple. A group of strangers live together in a house wired for television, cut off from the outside world, and vote each other out until one person claims the $750,000 grand prize. CBS says the house carries 112 HD cameras and 113 microphones and records every move 24 hours a day, per CBS.
The night opened with Yash Patel in power as Head of Household, the houseguest who names the nominees for eviction. He put up Barrett Pfeiffer, Drew Campbell and Melody Morris. Drew then won the Power of Veto, a prize that can remove a nominee from the block, and used it on himself. Yash named Taylor Brown as the replacement.
Melody then saved herself by winning the last BB Block Buster, a final-chance contest that pulls one nominee to safety. That left Barrett and Taylor facing the vote. Barrett was evicted by 3-1 over Taylor.
A double eviction means no pause. The game reset in minutes. Melody won the second Head of Household contest of the night and nominated Devens and Dee Valladares.
Devens won the second Power of Veto and used it on himself. Melody named Yash as the replacement nominee. Yash was then evicted by 2-1 over Dee.
The numbers tell the rest. Barrett was the eleventh houseguest evicted this season and became the third member of the jury, the group of recent evictees who later votes for the winner. Yash was the twelfth evictee and became the fourth jury member.
For fans, this means the endgame is here. The cast entered the night as seven and left as five, per the Democrat and Chronicle. The results aired in a two-hour live episode, Episode 35, per lohud, which was the season’s 10th live eviction episode, per Gold Derby.
