Big Brother 28 loses two in one night as Final 3 is decided

Two evictions in two hours left Taylor Brown, Drew Campbell and Rick Devens as the final three on Big Brother Season 28.

Melody Morris and Dee Valladares were both voted out on Thursday, September 24, during Episode 39. The house went from five to three in a single broadcast, according to Deadline.

Five houseguests entered Week 11 after the Week 10 double eviction. Rick Devens started the week holding Head of Household, the weekly power to nominate two people for eviction, and he put up Melody Morris and Drew Campbell, as reported by lohud.

The first vote of the night was billed as an Egyptian Eviction. It sent Melody out. She became the fifth member of the jury, the group of recently evicted players housed separately who later vote for the winner.

Then the game reset. Taylor Brown won the next Head of Household competition, held after that special eviction. The role gave her the power to name the next two nominees, and she chose Dee Valladares and Drew Campbell.

Drew won the Power of Veto competition, a contest that lets the winner save one nominee from the block. He used it on himself. That left Dee as the only option when the sole eligible voter cast a ballot.

Drew voted to evict Dee. The 1-0 vote removed Dee from the house and made her the sixth jury member.

The result realises a final three of Taylor, Drew and Rick. They survived a late-season squeeze that began with Melody running the Week 10 double eviction as Head of Household, when Barrett was evicted by a 3-1 vote and Rick and Dee stayed.

For new viewers, the set-up is simple. Big Brother locks a group of strangers in a monitored house and votes one person out each week. The programme watches them 24 hours a day with 112 HD cameras and 113 microphones, and the last player standing receives a $750,000 grand prize, according to CBS.
