Miley Cyrus releases 10th album Bass Persuades
Miley Cyrus released her 10th studio album, Bass Persuades, on Friday, Sept. 18. The record contains 10 tracks and arrived 17 days after she announced it on Sept. 1, according to Billboard.
The title track acts as the lead single, as reported by Power 106. It debuted at No. 35 on the Billboard Hot 100, the chart that ranks singles in the United States. The official video for the song was directed by Mert Alas, according to its YouTube listing.
Ahead of the album, Cyrus dropped “Cyrus” from her Instagram handle. She also began referring to herself mononymously as Miley.
The new album follows a busy run. Her 2025 album Something Beautiful debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, the chart that ranks albums in the United States. Her 2023 album Endless Summer Vacation included “Flowers,” which spent eight weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Cyrus is the goddaughter of Dolly Parton. That family tie has been a long-running part of her public story, alongside shifts between pop, rock and country sounds across her catalogue.
To celebrate Bass Persuades, she is set to headline two shows at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on Oct. 16 and 18. Those dates are her first major public performances since her 2022 Attention Tour.
The album is available across physical formats. Her official store lists the CD at $7.99 and the cassette at $14.98, while a Baby Blue Vinyl store exclusive is listed at $29.98. Her homepage also features the new record.
For fans, this means new music now and a short wait for the live return. Two nights in October will test how the 10 new songs sit alongside a catalogue that already includes a recent eight-week chart-topper.
