York Knights sign David Nofoaluma on two-year deal

York Knights have signed David Nofoaluma on a permanent two-year deal.

The club confirmed the move on 18 September, turning a successful loan spell into a long-term stay, according to BBC Sport.

Nofoaluma, 32, plays on the wing. That is the wide role where speed and finishing decide tight games. He spent most of this season with York after arriving on a temporary deal from Newcastle Thunder.

He made it count. The former NRL player, Australia's top-level rugby league competition, scored 15 tries in 21 games for York. A try, touching the ball down over the tryline, is worth four points in league.

His stay is now permanent. York have moved him from loanee to contracted player after that run of form, as reported by TotalRL.

Nofoaluma brings international experience too. He has represented both Samoa and Serbia at international level. At York he has worn shirt number 46.
