MNEK announces second solo album Bulldozer!! for autumn
MNEK will release Bulldozer!!, his second solo album, in autumn 2026, eight years after his debut Language.
The Lewisham-born singer, songwriter and producer announced the album alongside the single “Reverse!!”, which he described as a fun, up-tempo club record The Line of Best Fit. The album is scheduled for autumn, according to the announcement reported by Clash.
It is a long gap for a solo return, but MNEK has hardly been quiet. He landed his first publishing deal, the contract in which a company administers a songwriter’s songs and collects royalties, in 2009 at age 14 after uploading self-produced demos to MySpace, Billboard reported in an interview published on 18 September.
Since then his writing credits have included Beyoncé’s “Hold Up” and BTS’s “Paradise”. He wrote Dua Lipa’s U.K. No. 1 “IDGAF” and Little Mix’s U.K. No. 1 “Sweet Melody”. More recently he executive-produced, or oversaw the creation of, FLO’s debut album Access All Areas, released in 2024.
He has also worked closely with Zara Larsson. That includes her song “Midnight Sun” and her verse on the remix of PinkPantheress’s “Stateside”. That remix, featuring Larsson, reached No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200, the chart that ranks songs by worldwide streaming and sales, in March.
MNEK told Billboard U.K. that releasing Bulldozer!! feels emotionally lighter because he feels less stress over chart performance. His first album missed the Billboard 200 entirely in the United States and failed to reach the U.K. Top 40.
For listeners who know MNEK mainly through other singers, this is a chance to hear him centre his own voice. Eight years on, the numbers matter less to him. The record is the point.
