Esai Morales and Kelsey Grammer will lead the cast of His Heart, a faith-based feature film planned for cinemas in the United States in autumn 2027. They are joined at the top of the bill by Jayne Wisener, Jonathan Stoddard, Kevin Sorbo and Michael Weston, according to Deadline. Sean McNamara will direct.

Wisener plays Ryleigh Thompson, a journalist sent to Argentina to report on a claimed miracle. Stoddard plays Ben, her estranged husband. The story follows the assignment and the strained marriage side by side.

Morales and Grammer are doing double duty. Both star and both are credited as executive producers, the senior figures who help arrange finance and steer a film toward release. They share that credit with Joe Helow, Stephanie Dunn, Alex Katz, Steve Maddox and Alexis Walkenstein, as listed by Deadline.

The film was created by co-writers Jen Katzfey and Dana Faletti. That creator credit means the story began with them. McNamara now takes charge of the shoot, working from their script.

Principal photography, the main block of filming with the principal cast, is due to begin on 19 October in Oklahoma City. The date and city were reported by Deadline. Oklahoma will stand in for Argentina on screen.

Miracle Studios and Brookwell McNamara Entertainment are backing the release. The autumn 2027 plan gives the production a little more than a year between the start of filming and its arrival in cinemas. Theatrical here means a traditional cinema release in the United States, rather than a debut on streaming.

Faith-based is industry shorthand for films built around Christian belief and aimed at churchgoing audiences. They are often modestly budgeted and rely on group ticket sales. His Heart fits that pattern, with a miracle report at its centre.

What makes this stand out is the structure. A newsroom assignment drives the plot. A marriage in trouble carries the personal weight. For viewers, that means two threads to follow when it reaches cinemas.

Casting is now in place. The script is credited. The start date is set. The announced next step is the Oklahoma City shoot, followed by the long post-production stretch before autumn 2027.
