House of David will finish with Season 3, now shooting in Greece.

Wonder Project and Amazon MGM Studios announced on Friday that the biblical drama will end after its third run on Prime Video, confirming the plan as cameras are already rolling, according to Variety.

The news finalises a renewal, meaning an order for another season, that was first revealed in July. At that point Season 3 was not identified as the last. Producers have now confirmed it is.

Creators Jon Erwin and Jon Gunn had envisioned the series as a three-season story. That gives the production a fixed end point. No further seasons are planned.

The series tells the story of David and King Saul. Michael Iskander stars as David, with Ali Suliman as King Saul and Ayelet Zurer as Queen Ahinoam.

For viewers, this means the story gets a proper ending. The crew has one more season to shoot. The first two seasons are already available on Prime Video.

House of David started on February 27, 2025 with three episodes, followed by weekly releases, according to Amazon MGM Studios. The Season One finale arrived on April 3.

The early response brought a fast follow-up. Prime Video ordered Season 2 just three weeks after the Season 1 premiere, according to Deadline. Season 2 then launched globally on March 27, 2026, with all episodes available to stream at once, in an Easter window.

What makes this stand out is the speed of the decision to close it out. Many shows wait until after a season airs to learn their fate. Here the team is still filming and already knows this is the end.

The series is produced by Wonder Project and Amazon MGM Studios in association with Nomadic Pictures and Argonauts, along with Kingdom Story Company and Lionsgate Television.
