Minnie Driver was injured in a car accident in France in early August 2026, but production on Netflix's Emily in Paris — where she recurs as Princess Jane — was barely disrupted.

Driver broke the news herself in an Instagram video on 6 August, filmed from her home in London. Lying in bed wearing a neck brace, she described a "really bad" car crash on a country road in the middle of France a few days earlier. She said she suffered a sprained neck, was "in shock," and had been crying frequently since the incident. She also said she was not at fault.
