Brighton test Arsenal as Spurs and Villa share goalless draw
Arsenal travelled to Brighton for the 15:00 kick-off on Saturday, 19 September 2026, to face the early season's most prolific attack.
Brighton had scored 13 goals already, according to The Guardian. They started this campaign with a 4-0 home win over Aston Villa, all four goals coming in the first half. Arsenal arrived on the south coast fresh from a 2-0 league win at Sunderland.

Everton made one change after a goalless draw at Tottenham, with Jack Grealish replacing Tyrique George. Ipswich made two after a win at Crystal Palace, with Christian Walton and Abdoul Ouattara in for Kjell Scherpen and Jacob Greaves.
The early result of the day came from north London. Tottenham Hotspur drew 0-0 with Aston Villa. Both sides had gone into the match still looking for their first league win of the season, according to BBC Sport.
In the Championship, the day’s early kick-off was Sheffield United against Stoke City. It started at 12:30pm, listed by The Athletic. Millwall against West Ham completed the London-heavy schedule.
