Danny Brown to play Atrocity Exhibition in full on four-city anniversary tour

Danny Brown will perform his 2016 album Atrocity Exhibition in full for the first time this autumn. The four-date run celebrates the record's 10th anniversary. The tour was reported by Pitchfork, with Brown confirming the full-album performance on Instagram.

Front to back means exactly that. Every track, in album order. Brown has never played the record that way before.

The trek starts on the west coast and ends in Texas. It opens in Los Angeles at Catch One on 7 November. It then moves to Chicago for a show at Outset on 13 November. Then New York City. Brown plays Irving Plaza there on 19 November. The run closes in Austin on 3 December.

A new 10th anniversary edition of Atrocity Exhibition will accompany the dates. It will be available on vinyl and CD, the two main physical music formats. The reissue features new artwork by Ed Davis, who designed the original sleeve.

The package also includes a commemorative booklet. It adds previously unreleased instrumental versions of every track on the album. Those are mixes without the vocal parts, which leave the production on its own.

Atrocity Exhibition was first released on 27 September 2016, according to Warp, the independent label that put out the record. That date puts the anniversary shows just over ten years after the album first reached listeners.

For fans, this means two chances to hear the record differently. The concerts offer the songs in sequence, as they were arranged for the album. The reissue offers the other side of that story, with the beats laid bare for anyone who has a favourite instrumental moment.
