Michelle Rodriguez Joins Amazon MGM Comedy 'Egg Baby'
Michelle Rodriguez has joined the cast of Egg Baby, the romantic comedy set up at Amazon MGM, Deadline reported on 22 September 2026.
Ariana Greenblatt leads the cast. Rodriguez joins alongside Kingston Rumi Southwick, Arthur Conti and Jean Smart.
The story centres on a rebellious artist and a golden-boy quarterback. Forced to co-parent an egg for health class, the pair must look after an egg named “Yolk-o”.
The film was written by Sawyer Perry and is being directed by Natalia Anderson. XYZ Films is producing alongside Allison Friedman in association with BuzzFeed Studios, and Amazon MGM acquired the project for streaming in June 2026, according to Deadline.
Rodriguez is best known to film audiences as Letty Ortiz, the wife of Dom Toretto, in the Fast & Furious franchise. She is set to return for Fast Forever, which Universal will release on 17 March 2028. On television, she starred as Ana Lucia Cortez on ABC’s Lost.
Smart arrives after five seasons on Hacks. Rodriguez is represented by CAA and attorney David Markman, Deadline reported.
