Julian Ovenden, Louise Dearman and Ricardo Afonso will lead this year's West End Does: Christmas.

Chorus Productions said its annual Christmas concert will play St Marylebone Church in central London for one performance only on Sunday 20 December at 7.30pm, according to details confirmed via WhatsOnStage. It is one night only.

Ovenden, Dearman and Afonso are the first three names announced for the bill. All three are established West End performers. No further casting details have been confirmed yet.

They will be joined by the Guildford School of Acting Choir. The choir is made up of students training for professional stage careers. A West End band led by musical director Samuel Wilson will also perform.

More West End guests are still to be announced. The producer has not yet given a date for that announcement.

The church date is a change of address for the concert. Recent editions were listed for Cadogan Hall in London, with two performances in a day at 2.30pm and 6.30pm. That was the pattern for the 2023 edition, for West End Does: Christmas in Oz in 2024, and for the 2025 edition.

For fans, this means one chance to catch it. The move to St Marylebone brings a big-voiced West End line-up into a central London church, with a student choir alongside. Further names will follow before December.
