Zayn Malik shares photos from daughter Khai's 6th birthday party
Zayn Malik has shared photographs from his daughter Khai's sixth birthday party at American Dream in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
The singer uploaded the pictures to Instagram on Tuesday, Sept. 22, after a weekend celebration for Khai, who turned six. The post gave the fullest public look at this year's party, according to Billboard.
Khai spent the party with friends at two of the venue's family attractions. They visited Nickelodeon Universe, the indoor theme park with rides and characters linked to the children's television channel. They also spent time at the Hasbro Arcade, a games space built around the toy company's brands.
Malik said the group had a happy day. His caption read: "Khai's 6th birthday this weekend!! Big thank you to everyone who made it extra special." He added: "The girls had the BEST time!"
The photographs show rainbow-coloured decor laid on for the children. Streamers hung above the table area, and a large balloon arch framed the space for photos. A birthday sign in bright letters carried a Squishmallows theme, the soft plush toy brand, and marked Khai's name and age.
The cake stole the show. It stood four tiers high and was finished with Squishmallows figures in different colours and expressions. Malik credited The London Baker for making it, tagging the bakery in the post.
Other images showed some of the birthday presents opened for the day. They included a National Geographic bug habitat, a kit for keeping and watching insects up close. There was also a butterfly-growing kit, which lets children raise caterpillars through the change into butterflies. Both boxes appeared beside wrapped gifts and party bags.
Khai was born in September 2020 to Malik and model Gigi Hadid. The former couple split in October 2021 after dating on and off for several years.
Hadid marked the birthday separately at home. Khai turned six on Sept. 19 and celebrated with her mother, according to Yahoo. Hadid shared a photo to Instagram Stories, the short posts that disappear after a day, with the caption "My girl."
What stands out is the timeline. A home celebration on the birthday itself, then a larger party with friends at the weekend. The two Instagram posts arrived within days of each other, each with only a few details and a short message.
