The Isley Brothers and David Kushner share vocals on a new title song for By Any Means: The Album, due on Sept. 25.

The album arrives through a partnership between Anzie Blue Records and Surf Club, with global distribution by The Orchard, the company that delivers music to shops and streaming services. It features music from and inspired by Paramount Pictures' film By Any Means, as reported by Billboard.

The title track, “By Any Means,” was written by Diane Warren. It serves as the album’s lead single, the first track released to introduce the project.

A second single follows from Pynk Beard, who also acted as the project’s musical director. Beard performs “We Shall Overcome,” tapped as the next release from the album.

Other performers on the album include Brandy, Keb’ Mo’ and Tone Stith. The film it supports stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Mark Wahlberg.

The turnaround was quick. Most of the album was recorded in less than a week at FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, the long-running recording rooms known for soul and rock sessions.

Hit-Boy and Dr. Blum executive produced the album, overseeing its sound and sessions. Net proceeds from sales, the money left after costs, will benefit the Black Music Action Coalition.

What makes this stand out is the mix of generations and genres on one short session. For fans, this means the film arrives with its own companion record, out two days after the album details were published.
