Meghan Markle cuddled her best friend's baby son in a local pub during a visit to England.

The photos came from Kelly McKee Zajfen, a friend of more than two decades. She posted an Instagram carousel from England showing Meghan Markle and Prince Harry spending time with her infant son, Jack. Hello! Magazine reported the images on 23 September 2026.

One picture shows Meghan holding Jack inside the pub. Another shows Harry on the floor, playing with the baby. It is a small, domestic set of images. No palace setting. No formal poses.

Zajfen has known Meghan for over 20 years. She met Meghan after Meghan's former husband, Trevor Engelson, introduced Meghan to Zajfen's husband, Julian. The friendship has stayed close since.

Jack is Zajfen's third child. His full name is Jack Oliver, and he was born on Thursday, 26 March, one day after his mother's birthday. People reported at the time that Zajfen was 40 when she gave birth.

Meghan had already shared a photo with the redheaded newborn in June, joking that he was not Prince Harry's. Hola! USA carried the joke alongside the picture. She also sent a gift after Jack's birth in the spring.

The new baby follows a family loss. Zajfen's son George died in July 2022 at the age of nine from COVID and viral meningitis. He is survived by his twin sister, Lily. Zajfen, a co-founder of Alliance of Moms, a Los Angeles charity supporting young mothers in foster care, announced in November 2025 that she was expecting a boy.

What makes this stand out is the length of the thread. Two decades, a bereavement, a new birth, and now a pub cuddle in England with Jack at the centre.
