Marti Pellow to lead Scrooge the Musical in Glasgow this Christmas

Marti Pellow will play Ebenezer Scrooge in Scrooge the Musical at Glasgow's SEC Armadillo this Christmas.
The full company was confirmed on 24 September for a run from 12 December 2026 to 10 January 2027, according to WhatsOnStage. The musical is written by Leslie Bricusse and based on Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. Thom Southerland directs.
Pellow, the former Wet Wet Wet frontman turned stage lead, heads a company with strong Scottish roots. Karen Dunbar plays the Ghost of Christmas Past. Gavin Mitchell plays Jacob Marley, Scrooge's dead business partner who warns him to change.
Martin Callaghan plays the Ghost of Christmas Present. Valerie Cutko plays the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. Samuel Thomas plays Young Ebby, the younger Scrooge seen in flashback.
Ruairidh McDonald plays Bob Cratchit, Scrooge's clerk. SuRie plays Mrs Cratchit. Louis Davies and Percy Tulley share the role of Tiny Tim Cratchit, the couple's young son, with the part split between the two child actors.
Kelly Mathieson plays Isabel, Scrooge's former fiancee. George Acworth plays Harry, his nephew. Gabriella Williams plays Miss Dilber, Scrooge's charwoman.
Kristofer Harding plays Mr Fezziwig and Wendy Mae Brown plays Mrs Fezziwig, the couple who give the young Scrooge his first generous Christmas. Shona White plays Thomasina Jenkins, a gender-swapped version of the traditionally male role of Tom Jenkins.
The adult ensemble brings ten more performers. They are Caitlin Anderson, Benedict Landsbert-Noon, TJ Lloyd, Janet Mooney, Natalie Moore-Williams, Tom Norman, Clare Rickard, Duncan Shelton, Masimba Ushe and Kacey Wadge.
For fans, this means a familiar festive story with a large onstage company. The run covers Christmas and New Year. It keeps the show in Glasgow for almost a full month.
