Anthony Kim documentary in the works at Propagate Content

Anthony Kim's 12-year absence from golf is heading for the screen.
A documentary film about the professional golfer is in the works at Propagate Content, The Hollywood Reporter reported on Sept. 24. It will be directed by Jody McVeigh-Schultz. The account was based on the publication's own reporting, rather than a formal announcement from the company or the golfer.
McVeigh-Schultz arrives with form in sports and true crime. His directing credits include Cocaine Quarterback: Signal-Caller for the Cartel and Spy High. For general viewers, those titles describe the type of filmmaker attached: someone used to building real-life stories around high-pressure characters.
Kim was once among the most talked-about young players in men's golf. That run stopped after an Achilles injury in 2012. He then spent 12 years away from the professional game.
His return began in 2024. He came back to professional competition through a LIV Tour exemption, meaning a direct invitation to play without going through standard qualifying. In February 2026, he won a professional tournament for the first time in 16 years. It was a long wait. It ended with a trophy.
Propagate Content is producing the project. The production company was founded in 2015. Ben Silverman, Howard T. Owens, Drew Buckley and Jack Katkavich are attached as executive producers, the senior figures who guide a film creatively and help put its financing and distribution in place.
No broadcaster, streamer or cinema release has been reported so far. No title or transmission date has been reported either. A release plan is normally finalised once a buyer is attached, and that step has not been made public here.
What makes this stand out is the gap in the public record. Golf fans watched Kim leave. They watched him return. The years between those two points have largely gone untold. That missing stretch gives a film its natural material.
For fans, this means a simple way in. You do not need to follow tour points or rankings to follow this story. An athlete steps away for more than a decade. He comes back. He wins again. The documentary will now try to show how.
