Two PC games are free to keep on the Epic Games Store this week: Astrea: Six-Sided Oracles and Mechabellum.

The claim window opened at 4pm BST on 24 September 2026 and runs until 4pm BST on Thursday, 1 October, which is 8am PT / 11am ET, according to Video Games Chronicle. Anyone who claims either game before that cutoff keeps it permanently in their library. No subscription is needed, only a free store account.

To get them, open the Free Games section of the Epic Games Store on PC and select Get on each title. The store runs a weekly free game offer, and its free games page lists Astrea as free starting at 10:00am on 24 September. Once added, the games stay tied to the account even after the giveaway ends.

Astrea: Six-Sided Oracles is a deck-building roguelike, a game built around repeated runs where defeat sends you back to the start, that uses dice instead of cards. Players build a pool of dice, roll them to attack and defend, and shape each run as they go. It also uses what its store page calls a dual damage system, with separate tracks for different kinds of harm. The Epic Games Store listing gives its usual price as US$24.99, discounted by 100% to free for this week.

This is a return visit for Astrea. It was flagged as an incoming freebie last week and is now back for a full seven-day claim period from 24 September to 1 October.

Mechabellum sits at the other end of the shelf. It is a mech auto-battler, a strategy game where you arrange your forces and then watch them fight without steering each shot. Players customise units, set formations and deploy troops into large 3D battles to crush the opposing army. It suits quick decisions with big consequences.

The two titles replace last week's offer. Miss the 1 October deadline and the price goes back up.

What comes next is already named. Buried Stars and System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster will take over as the free titles on 1 October.

For players, this means a simple choice. Grab one or grab both. Astrea fits a quiet night of careful rolls and retries. Mechabellum fits anyone who likes bold plans, heavy metal and watching those plans collide.
