Lachie Miller signs Leeds extension to 2028 despite season-ending injury
Lachie Miller will stay with Leeds Rhinos until the end of the 2028 season after signing a contract extension.
The 32-year-old full-back, the player who guards the space behind the defensive line and starts most counter-attacks, agreed the new terms with Leeds, according to BBC Sport. He joined the club in 2024. He has made 74 appearances since then.
He made 24 appearances this season before injury struck. A hamstring problem has ruled him out for the remainder of the campaign. He will now focus on recovery while his team-mates carry on without him.
His absence has not dimmed his standing in the game. Miller is one of three players shortlisted for the 2026 Steve Prescott MBE Man of Steel award, Super League's annual prize for the player of the year. Only three names make that final list.
