Viktor & Rolf open first Italian solo show in Milan

Twenty handmade couture looks from a three-decade career have gone on show in Milan. It is the first solo exhibition in Italy for Dutch designers Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren.
The show is titled “Viktor&Rolf. Spectrum”. It is held at 10 Corso Como, the Milan concept store, and runs from 25 September to 22 November 2026, according to 10 Corso Como.
The fashion crowd got an early look on Thursday between Milan Fashion Week shows. The designers had hosted a cocktail event followed by a private dinner the night before the public opening, according to Women’s Wear Daily.
The Italian show is staged in the store’s Galleria venue. It was created specifically for the space by the Viktor & Rolf company and conceived as a single large-scale installation.
It was curated by Alessio de Navasques. De Navasques is professor of fashion archives at Sapienza University of Rome and curator of the cultural programme at 10 Corso Como.
The 20 looks — couture meaning clothes cut and finished by hand to a client’s measures — are presented in pairs. The pairing is meant to draw out affinities, variations and visual echoes. It reflects the designers’ long-running principle of duality.
The exhibition opens with two ruffled gowns from the house’s autumn 2026 couture collection, called “Gilded Age 2.0”. The same design appears twice. One version is gold. The other is jute in a natural colour.
For visitors, this means a quick way in. You do not need the backstory to read the pairs. Look left, look right, spot the difference.
The Milan show also points forward. It serves as a preview of a major Paris retrospective dedicated to Viktor & Rolf planned for early next year.
