William, Kate and Tom Cruise reunite for Digger world premiere

Prince William guided Kate Middleton onwards with a hand on her back as they arrived for the world premiere of Digger in London on 22 September.
The brief gesture drew eyes on a crowded red carpet in Leicester Square. The couple had come for the Tuesday evening screening at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square theatre in central London.
The event was held to raise funds for The Film and TV Charity, which supports people working in film and television. The London screening was the film's world premiere, its first full public showing, according to Variety.
Tom Cruise, who stars in Digger, reunited with William and Kate at the premiere. He offered his hand to help Kate down the steps on the carpet. He also greeted William with the words "great jacket".
Kate wore a floor-length purple gown by British designer Jenny Packham. She accessorised with Princess Diana's earrings and an amethyst sautoir necklace once owned by the Queen Mother. A sautoir is a long necklace, worn here looped low with amethyst stones. William wore a tuxedo with a double-breasted velvet jacket and bow tie.
William and Kate paused for pictures with the Beckhams during the arrivals. It was a familiar patch of pavement for the royal couple. They previously attended the UK premiere of Top Gun: Maverick in Leicester Square in 2022, again alongside Cruise, as reported by HELLO! Magazine.
What makes this stand out is the informality. Royal red carpets run on protocol and posed photographs. That quick hand on the back cut through it. Warm, unscripted, and gone in seconds.
