Achille Lauro pairs second Dondup collection with new single

Singer Achille Lauro has released a new song and a fashion collection together. He unveiled his second collection as creative director, the role in charge of a brand's design direction, of Dondup, the Italian denim label, at a release party for his single "Esibizionista." The title translates to "Exhibitionist" in English. WWD
The collection is presented as a fall 2027 lineup, the autumn-winter season that stores order long before it reaches the street. Everything is denim. It includes bustier dresses, shrunken blazers cinched at the waist, pencil skirts with snap buttons down the front, power tailoring and cropped trucker jackets, the short button-front denim jacket.
The colours stay in denim territory but move widely. They run from dark indigo blue to bright turquoise and faded light blue. The shapes stay close to the body. Tailored jackets sit beside tight skirts and bare-shouldered dresses.
Lauro tied the clothes straight to the music. The collection appears in the music video for the song. The video arrived with its own dedicated record, which is now available on streaming platforms.
An edit of the collection is on sale now. Shoppers can find it at Dondup flagships, the brand's main shops, on its e-commerce site and through select wholesale partners, selling to shops that resell, as against direct-to-consumer.
The launch follows a loud debut. Lauro showed his first collection for Dondup in an impromptu fashion show during his concert at San Siro Stadium, the large stadium in Milan. The format set the pattern: new clothes inside a live music moment rather than a separate catwalk.
Dondup was founded in 1999 in Fossombrone, Italy, by Massimo Berloni and Manuela Mariotti. The Made in Italy Fund, an investment fund, has owned the label since 2021. Lauro took the creative role earlier this year, after a plan for a small capsule collection, a limited range, to debut in Milan in June and a first full collection built around house codes including denim to follow in September. What makes this stand out is the packaging. Many singers lend a name to a brand. Here the track and the tailoring arrive as one release, with the video doing the work of a lookbook.
