Milan closes with quiet presentations for Spring 2027

Milan Fashion Week closed its Spring-Summer 2027 edition on 28 September 2026 with the spotlight on small rooms rather than big runways.
WWD pulled six intimate Spring 2027 ready-to-wear presentations into one roundup on the final day. Ready-to-wear means clothes made in standard sizes for shops, rather than made to order. A presentation means guests view the clothes up close, often on standing models, rather than in a moving runway show. WWD
The wider week was large. The programme is organised by the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, the Italian fashion council that owns the Milano Fashion Week trademark and is based at Piazza Duomo, 31 in Milan. Its official calendar for Spring-Summer 2027 ran from 22 to 28 September 2026 and listed formats including Event, Presentation, Presentation by appointment, Fashion Show and Live. Entry is by invitation only. Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana
The council says the week hosts more than 170 shows and presentations in total. A separate preview counted 54 physical shows and 88 presentations for the Spring/Summer 2027 season. Vogue
Among the close-up showings was Fabiana Filippi, the Italian womenswear house. Its Spring 2027 collection was titled “Gesto — Architecture of the Hand.” The company said the work drew on wicker weaving traditions in Umbria on the outskirts of Orvieto.
La Perla, the Italian company known for lingerie and nightwear, showed a Spring 2027 collection dubbed #00. Barbara Zappoli, identified as chief product officer, led the presentation.
Agnona, the Italian luxury house, was presented by creative director Stefano Aimone. A creative director leads a house’s design direction across collections.
The roundup also included Taller Marmo, Malo and Yali. Each opted for a presentation format during the Milan week rather than a full runway show.
What makes this stand out is access. In a small room, buyers and press can see seams, cloth weight and construction at arm’s length. For fans, this means the photos that follow often show fabric detail as well as silhouette.
The week also carried large-scale runway moments. Gucci, the Italian luxury house owned by Kering, the French luxury group, presented its Spring/Summer 2027 collection in Milan on 25 September 2026. Reuters
WWD published separate reviews for two other Milan shows. Its review of Tod’s, the Italian leather-goods and clothing company, for spring 2027 was titled “Making It Your Own.” Its review of Dsquared2, the fashion house led by designers Dean and Dan Caten, was titled “Act of Faith.” WWD
