Lisa performed her new single “Sawadika” live for the first time at the MTV Video Music Awards at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Lisa is a member of Blackpink. The awards slot gave the song its live debut before any other stage. The performance was reported on Sept. 28.

“Sawadika” is the first preview of Press Play, her forthcoming EP — a short record, longer than a single but shorter than an album. The EP arrives on Oct. 23 via LLOUD Co./RCA Records, Rolling Stone reported. In industry terms, the labels handle release and distribution for the record. The release date puts the larger project only weeks after the awards performance.

The track was produced by Thom Bridges with songwriting duo Ojivolta. Production covers the sound and shape of the recording, while songwriting covers its melody and words. Those roles are standard on modern pop releases, where sound and song are often built by different hands. The combined credit is the first detailed look at who built the single.

Blackpink were also present in the nominations. The group was nominated at the VMAs for its 2025 comeback single “Jump”. A comeback single is industry shorthand for a release framed as a return after time away. That listing placed Lisa’s night in two parts, as a nominee with her group and as a solo performer with new music.

Film comes next. Lisa’s documentary Always Lalisa premieres worldwide on Oct. 12. A worldwide premiere means the film is made available to audiences in different countries on the same date. It arrives 11 days before Press Play, so viewers hear her story just before they hear the EP. The two October dates sit close together on the calendar.

Then comes the live run. Lisa will perform her Viva La Lisa residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Nov. 13, Nov. 14, Nov. 27 and Nov. 28. A residency is a run of shows staged in one venue rather than a tour across cities. The four dates are organised in two pairs in November, with a gap between the pairs. The venue name and the four dates are the confirmed details so far.

For fans, this means a clear order to follow. Awards debut first. Documentary next. EP after that. Residency to close the run.

Taken together, the calendar now runs from late September through late November. Oct. 12 brings the documentary. Oct. 23 brings the EP. November brings four nights at the Colosseum. Each announcement carries its own date, and none is left open-ended.
