Sienna Spiro made her MTV Video Music Awards debut on 27 September, performing her single "Great Expectation". The British singer arrived at the ceremony as a first-time nominee for Best New Artist, according to Billboard.

It was a big night. The 2026 VMAs aired live on Sunday, 27 September on CBS and Paramount+. Spiro shared the performers' bill with LISA and RAYE, who were announced alongside her as additional acts.

Spiro is one of seven nominees for Best New Artist. The others are Bella Kay, Cortis, Magnus Ferrell, Malcolm Todd, Myles Smith and Stella Lefty, as reported by Rolling Stone.

She first found an audience on TikTok, posting viral videos singing covers and original songs. Her 2024 single "Maybe" later appeared on her debut EP, "Sink Now, Swim Later".

Her debut full-length album, "Visitor", followed in July. It peaked at Number Two on the U.K. albums chart and Number Nine on the Billboard 200, the main U.S. albums chart that combines sales and streaming.

Spiro had already performed "Great Expectation" on The Tonight Show, the U.S. late-night television programme. Her VMAs slot put the song in front of its largest televised audience yet.

For fans, this means more chances to see her soon. Spiro is set to perform at the Austin City Limits Festival on 2-4 October and 9-11 October. She will then start a North American tour on 13 October in Nashville, with dates running through 12 November in Los Angeles.
