Paddington The Musical has named its new West End company for its second year. The new cast begins performances at the Savoy Theatre on 28 October. The show is currently booking to 13 February 2028, according to WhatsOnStage.

Two actors share the bear. Abbie Purvis and Hassan Taj will alternate in the role of Paddington as on-stage performers, meaning they take it in turns to play the part. Sonny Monaghan joins the company as Young Man / Paddington, covering voice and remote puppetry. Freya Rose is the standby for the on-stage Paddington, ready to step in when needed.

Haydn Oakley joins as Mr Brown, with Charlotte Wakefield as Mrs Brown. Linzi Hateley plays Mrs Bird. The Brown children are shared between several young performers.

Poppy Houghton and Francesca Ratcliffe will alternate as Judy Brown. Eddison Burch and Shayne Maphosa will alternate as Tony. Charlie Dean, Arlo Drage, Oliver Goodman and Finn Leonard will share the role of Jonathan Brown, with four actors rotating in the part.

The adult company also brings back familiar names. Tarinn Callender reprises his role as Grant, and Teddy Kempner returns as Mr Gruber. They are joined by Cassidy Janson as Millicent Clyde, Marc Pickering as Mr Curry and Samantha Bingley as Lady Sloane. Sandra Marvin plays Tanya, with Alex Crandon as Hank the Pigeon.

The musical features lyrics by Tom Fletcher, known for the band McFly, a book by Jessica Swale and direction by Luke Sheppard. It is based on A Bear Called Paddington by Michael Bond and the Paddington films.

The production premiered at the Savoy Theatre in November 2025, according to Official London Theatre. It has since won seven Olivier Awards, including the Cunard Best New Musical prize, and nine WhatsOnStage Awards, equalling the record for the most wins at those awards.

Across the Atlantic, the show is set to cross over. Broadway performances begin on 30 March 2027 ahead of an official opening on 18 April 2027, according to ABC News.

For families booking ahead, this means a mix of returning and new faces from late October. The bear remains at the Savoy.
