Maggie Kuntz has signed with Verve for representation across film, television and theatre. Variety exclusively reported the deal on 29 September 2026.

Representation here means day-to-day industry business. Verve will handle her acting work across stage and screen. She will continue to be represented by The Rosenzweig Group.

Kuntz is a stage actor moving deeper into screen work. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan's musical theatre programme, according to Broadway producer Shubert. She recently starred in the Broadway production of John Proctor Is the Villain. She was also part of the Broadway company of the musical based on The Outsiders.

Her next film role is already set. Kuntz has joined the cast of The Bell Jar for Focus Features, based on the Sylvia Plath novel of the same name. She will play Doreen, best friend and confidante to Esther Greenwood.

Esther will be played by Billie Eilish. The cast also includes Carey Mulligan, Connor Storrie and Danielle Deadwyler. In the story, Doreen is a fellow intern alongside Esther in New York. Deadline previously reported that Lili Taylor and Ike Barinholtz had also joined the film's ensemble.

Television is next as well. Kuntz will appear in season four of HBO's The Gilded Age as Fiona Summers. Fiona is described as a cousin of the Astor family and a new arrival in New York high society.

What makes this stand out is the timing. The Verve signing lands with two high-profile screen jobs in place. For fans, this means a familiar Broadway face will soon turn up in two very different places: 1950s New York in film, and 1880s New York on television.
