World of Warcraft: Forever players say Blizzard has asked them which new classes they want to see.

The claim centres on an opt-in survey about the upcoming online fantasy game, a massive multiplayer title where thousands of players share one world. Eurogamer reported the player accounts on 30 September 2026.

The survey was spotted by select users of Battle.net, Blizzard's PC launcher and store, over the past few days. Participants were asked not to share details. Screenshots and descriptions still leaked online.

Eurogamer said it cannot verify the accuracy of the material circulating online. Treat the details below as an alleged leak, not an announcement.

According to posts from Classic WoW Reddit users cited in the report, the alleged options include Bard, Illusionist and Tinker. The full leaked list also names Death Knight, Demon Hunter, Monk, Necromancer, Metalborn/Runemaster/Runeknight, San'layn, Warden and Witch. In this type of game, a class sets what your character can do in a fight. Some names will be familiar to Warcraft fans.

The leaked descriptions give the most detail on the Tinker. It would pilot a mech suit, a wearable combat machine, able to tank, or absorb enemy hits for the group, deal damage or support allies. It would effectively have two lives: the machine itself and the pilot inside.

San'layn are described as vampiric knights in full plate armour who drain vitality from foes and excel at close-range fighting. The surveyed Demon Hunter would differ from the fast-moving version introduced in the 2016 Legion expansion. It is described as slower and less mobile, and tied to a smaller, pre-existing faction separate from the forces of the character Illidan.

Blizzard has not listed these classes in its own public guides. Its news hub instead points Forever readers to articles on choosing a ruleset, or set of server rules, naming a character, and class and race combinations, alongside the new Skyborne race and a Legacy System. Blizzard also lists episode one of a Forever podcast and a Toronto event titled Escape Together Comes to Toronto.

That hub also notes that the 12.1.5 content update for Midnight, the current World of Warcraft expansion, arrives on 13 October. Surveys often test ideas that never ship. For now, there is no confirmed class roster.
