Catherine, Princess of Wales Wears Head-to-Toe Gray for Community Minibus Visit

Catherine, Princess of Wales, climbed aboard a volunteer-run minibus in West Sussex on Wednesday to ride along with older residents headed to a weekly lunch.
The solo visit put the focus on community drivers. It also gave the princess, the wife of Prince William, the heir to the British throne, a fall fashion moment in head-to-toe gray.
She wore a gray coat over a pale gray satin blouse with a soft tie at the neck and matching gray trousers, according to Town & Country. The coat stayed on for the outdoor portion. The blouse added a dressier touch underneath.
She paired the monochrome look with deep burgundy heels by Gianvito Rossi. Her earrings were diamond hoops by Kiki McDonough with dangling pearl drops from Annoushka. She wore her long hair pulled back in a ponytail.
The engagement was with West Sussex Minibus, a volunteer-led transport service marking its 50th year. The group runs small community buses for people who cannot easily use regular public transit.
That includes riders dealing with isolation, mobility challenges or financial barriers, according to the Sussex Express. Volunteers drive the routes and help passengers get to appointments, shops and social events.
Catherine rode the bus with elderly people who live alone and were traveling to a village lunch club, The Telegraph reported. She then joined the weekly lunch at Pulborough Village Hall, a community meeting space in the village of Pulborough.
The Sept. 30 outing was her second public engagement that week, according to People. Solo visits like this are a regular part of her schedule, separate from joint appearances with William.
What makes this stand out is the pairing. The styling was polished and simple. The setting was practical, built around volunteers keeping neighbors connected one ride at a time.
