Sean “Diddy” Combs has reportedly watched the documentary series about himself from inside prison, and the man who executive-produced it is laughing about it.

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson responded on Instagram after NBC News, citing former inmates, reported that Combs had viewed Sean Combs: The Reckoning at the Fort Dix federal prison in New Jersey. Billboard flagged the post on 30 September 2026.

According to that NBC News reporting, Combs watched the Netflix series on a “jailbroken” tablet. The term means a device altered to get around software restrictions. The account came from former inmates at Fort Dix, not from prison officials. NBC News

Jackson shared a screenshot of the NBC News story with his own caption. He wrote: “Hahahahaha check out my Emmy award wing doc sean Combs the Reckoning available on Netflix coming to a prison near you.” He added: “LOL STREET FIGHTER.”

Billboard described the post as Jackson trolling Combs, with a joke that the series would be streaming in more prisons.

Sean Combs: The Reckoning is a four-part documentary series. It is directed by Alexandria Stapleton and executive-produced by Jackson, who Netflix lists as an Emmy and Grammy Award winner. An executive producer oversees a programme’s creative and financial direction without day-to-day directing. Netflix

The series includes Kirk Burrowes, a co-founder of Combs’ Bad Boy label, among its contributors. It reached No. 2 on Netflix’s English TV list for the week of 1 December 2025, according to the company’s own chart. Netflix

Combs has criticised the project. He called it a “shameful hit piece,” in comments reported by TMZ in December 2025. He was found guilty on two counts under the Mann Act, a US law against transporting people for unlawful sexual activity, and sentenced to four years in prison. TMZ

Jackson has also discussed why he backed the series in an interview published by ABC News. In one clip featured in that coverage, Combs is shown greeting fans in Harlem before saying afterwards that he needed hand sanitiser and a bath. ABC News

For viewers, this means the dispute is now playing out on two screens. One is Netflix. The other, if the prison account is accurate, is a tablet inside Fort Dix.
