50 Cent mocks Diddy over reported return to solitary

50 Cent mocked Sean “Diddy” Combs on Instagram on Wednesday, Sept. 30, after reports that Combs had been sent back to solitary confinement in federal prison. Billboard reported the post, which featured a screenshot of a TMZ report on Combs.
He did not hold back. The caption read: “Yo the box again for what, what ever they say he did, he did that s–t. LOL.” He also borrowed a line from Kanan Stark, his character on the television programme Power, to press the joke.
The post followed an NBC News report published Tuesday, Sept. 29, that described what it called a pampered life in prison for Combs. That report cited inmates who spent time with him at the low-security Federal Correctional Institution at Fort Dix in southern New Jersey.
According to that reporting, Combs was spending thousands of dollars a month to keep up comforts inside the facility. Inmates told NBC News he allegedly had access to prohibited items including a mobile phone, a jailbroken tablet, Hennessy and antidepressants with mood boosters.
The same inmates alleged he paid other prisoners to cook his meals, keep his cell clean and scrub his shower before he used it. Those claims have not been confirmed by prison officials in the reporting cited.
50 Cent had already reacted to the NBC News report on Tuesday. “Lol this fool is not gonna listen to nobody,” he wrote in part on Instagram, in a separate post about the claims.
Combs, the founder of Bad Boys Records, had previously spent time in the Special Housing Unit, the section used for solitary confinement. He was placed there over the summer after reportedly getting into a physical altercation with another inmate in July, and was later released from the unit in August, according to TMZ.
Combs was sentenced to 50 months behind bars in October 2025 after conviction on two charges of transportation for prostitution. He is slated for release in early 2028.
The two rappers have commented on each other repeatedly during Combs’ time in custody. Combs reportedly watched 50 Cent’s Netflix docuseries Sean Combs: The Reckoning while in prison.
